For the Blessing in My Life

MY WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY/LIFE THANKS TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!

I've decided that I am one of the luckiest women in the world. I have 3 beautiful children, an awesome husband who would do anything for me. And I love him for that more and more each day. I have a family who loves me, I have been pleased to have two wonderful parents who would do anything for me and who love to love me and support me in everything I do even If they don't like it. I am so lucky to be so close and be able to spend time with them, get to be with them on a daily basis, and witness what amazing and fun people they are. I am so lucky to be married into an incredible family who are so supportive and so encouraging. They treat me like one of their own, even more. We have so much fun together and love my sisters who are there for me like my own family. I have some of the most awsome, amazing brothers a sister could want. I know they would do anything for me. They are incredible men who are such examples to me, and help me want to be a better person.
I am so lucky to be blessed with friends that I have had what seems like a lifetime. I feel like time can go by and they will always be there, we can be like we haven't lost time. I have made friends I feel will last for a lifetime.

I met new friends all the time who show me what neighbor kindness and love is all about, who show me that that inate human nature to care for everyone is still there.

I feel so blessed to be alive, I feel blessed to be where I am, and to be learning and growing in the way that I have. I will be the better person because of the experiences and people in my life. As I celebrate my birthday this year, I celebrate how lucky I am to be alive and be surronded by the people I am.

Every year growing up for my birthday mom and I would go to Earls for "our " birthday dinner. We haven't been able to do this for a long time. This year we got to go out to eat at the Mediterranian Grill! We enjoyed yummy Steaks and tasty greek salad, one of my recent favorites! We got to enjoy time together celebrating our birthdays, and how much we enjoy being able to hangout together. Thank heaven for Mommies and Grandma!!!

A date with the SKI HILL !!!

So we couldn't decide what to do to celebrate Valentines with the kids, as well do something fun. . . then I got the great idea to go skiing. This sounded oh so fun and entertaining because Nathaniel has only skiied once in his life when he was 13 and the kids have never gone skiing. Well we found a great deal at the local ski hill half price rentals and you don't pay for the "bunny hill". We got there and Issac was ready to go he tried to put on his ski in the ski shop. Then we had to walk outside. For someone who has never tried to walk in ski boots it is a very stiff "robotic" feeling sensation (as the kids described it)!
We then began to teach, Abbi listened like a very attentive student and by her third run down was snow plowing and going back and forth across the hill. We were very proud of her.

Issac on the otherhand was true to his name. "Buzzed" up and down that tow as fast as he could. He didn't want to listen for instructions he "already knew" everything.
Good thing he soon met a little friend who clued him into "forming a pizza slice" to aid in the stop. This was very helpful as the poor rope tow guy was probably getting tired of being used as a stopping tool !!!

Next, it was time for Nathaniel to show us his stuff. . . . short story!
See Nathaniel, see Nathaniel start to turn,
See Nathaniels legs getting further apart, See Nathaniel Fall!!
See Nathaniel get up, See Nathaniel put on his skiis.
See Nathaniel ski down the hill, See Nathaniel try to STOP. . .
See Nathaniel Fall !!!!
Abbigayle, since she was becoming such a great skier, especially with her abilities to STOP, decided she would help her dad learn to ski!!!!
"You're doing good, next time try not to fall down, its better if you stop"

Dad and Issac; we had to hurry and get the shot in between him flying down the hill and going up the tow rope with his buddy Joey. They would race eachother down the hill and the advantage went to the one who could grab onto the tow rope first as they glided into the botton of the run!!!

Abbi was a more cautious skier, just like her mom, she didnt' like to fall on her butt :)

OUR ANNUAL HAYRIDE

Every year we do a family hayride get together. We always have loved the get together for it is a good time for the kids to ride the wagon and get their pumpkins and a fun time for all of us parents to reflect on how much our kids have grown since the last year!!!! And like so many other years we usually have a new. . .or we are close to a new baby arrival, which was the case this year. Victoria and Travis were expecting a baby girl due in October.

Issac has found it, his perfect (green) pumpkin. This seemed to be the theme this year everyone was liking the green pumpkins. We figured this might work good seems it was still a month away till Halloween!

BYU Lets hear it for the Cougars!!!

So I think I will be disowned forever for posting this. . . but I wanted to document history even when I hurts my own fathers eyes. . . Yes it is a fact that most don't miss my father does not like BYU but like I say its ok we all don't like everything.

We went back home during the Fall last year to join in the fun of our Family tailgate fun with Nathaniels family and then we went down south to do our annual hayridewith the family. Fun Times had by all!!!
The kids enjoyed tossing the football, especially Issac and Matthew along with their uncles. The girls enjoyed sitting out enjoying the sun and possing to show off their cool face paint!!

Well going back a few months, I feel I should touch on a couple events missed.

First and Foremost, my Abbi turned 7 years old. . . I can't believe it was 7 years ago that I had my little baby and I still remember when she came out screaming I knew she was mine.

Anyway, she was exited to have a pool party, but when it came down to it weather wouldn't permit so we settled inside for some games and pizza.

The kids all had fun we made crowns for the girls and boys so they would feel like royalty and then we played games, had ice cream and cake, and last but not least we opened the presents which is fun for everyone including Abbis brother and sister who love to help her!!

After we went outside and ran around and blew bubbles and played till the kids moms came it was fun! Abbi got to have one last party before the year was out.

As SUMMER came the kids were very exited to get out and play for the summer. Having lots of friends in the neighborhood and having a pool nearby it would surely be great! Of course it was, we would go to the pool for a couple hours each day, ware the kids out, sometimes we would even get to bring couzin Sami with us. I soon found out my kids were "fish" they love the water and could stay there all day if I would let them. Abbi is swimming by herself and Issac is pretty much there as well. Avrie though not swimming herself yet, believes she can and takes any opportunity to try to swim free.

OK sooo it has been FOREVER since I have blogged it has been so caotic and I just have neglected it but I have decided I have enough pictures saved up that I need to post some of them.
First I have to show you all what cute hair our uncle zach and quincy have, they came down last weekend to papa and nanas and we did their hair. . . .and then they went and got it cut.

Zach didn't want pictures but with such "pretty hair" how could we resist. And um we're trying to earn brownie points now that he won a mini 4 wheeler in a drawing. Hopefully he'll bring it to the farm for all the grandchildren to have fun with. Next, as many of you know our first of many fun holidays just past last weekend. The time when we are all able to dress up and be someone we arn't!!!! Hmmm I guess its fun for the kids and theraputic to us adults!
We had a fun halloween as we always do. Grandma Bourne started out Thursday dressing up as the classic the "ugly mean witch" that goes to school and visits all the nice little children. She is the school nurse so in Montana City she is the good witch that tell all the kids to be safe and how to be healthy and careful. Avrie saw this scary first and at first said no mom thats not Nana, she is a witch. After studying the questionable character, she finally identified Nana by her familiar voice. . . " ohhh now it's Nana " which she then followed by a big fat monster kiss.We all dressed up for Friday, even I participated in the fun, only I dressed up as the "nice" witch.

Issac was a cowboy, he has turned into quite the little cowboy at that helping papa feed the horses and stuff. Abbi convinced Nana to make her a princess dress and she was so proud of the finished product.

Last but not least Avrie wanted to be special too, so I put together a little skirt for her so she would be a pretty princess to.It was a day full of fun, Issac had a fun party at preschool, they painted pumpkins, had treats and showed off their costumes to the rest of the school.

We went and visited Abbi at school, after which we went down town to the strip mall where all the stores were open for trick or treating between 1 and 4pm. It was a free for all and lots of candy to be had by hundreds of kids. The kids had lots of fun and got to see all the cool costumes everywhere.

We then went over to the church and had a "trunk or treat" at which all the cars pull up and open their trunks and pass out candy.

Some actually did some fun decorations, once even had mystery hands which came from behind a sheet and handed out candy as well as performed magic tricks. Avrie was intrigued by this and would stand and watch for several minutes trying to figure out where the hands came from.

We all had lots of fun, we even convinced Nana to come to our "party" we allowed her to dress up as a women who diddn't want to get out of bed because she was tired from working all week. . . oh wait that is what she was and halloween was a good excuse to let it fly!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
