Brighton Hans Bourne is FINALLY HERE!!!!!

Brighton Hans Bourne

Well the big day finally came Brian and Raina welcomed Brighton Hans Bourne. Born at 4:59pm March 27, 2008. He weighed 7lbs9oz and was 20 inches long and has a head full of hair. Raina did great and her and Brian are both proud, happy parents. . . we won't talk about the lack of sleep you get with a new born!!!!

Abbi and I went up to visit with Raina and Brian before the big event, I think Abbi was even more exited than them. . . . figurativly speaking she kept pacing and egarly awaited, asking every so often "when can we go see Raina and the Baby", or "can't Raina just have him so we can go see him?" I guess some day she will understand the complexity of "just having a baby"!!!!

We were joined by Rainas' father, mom and sister who too eagerly awaited being able to see the newest member. We all stood outside the doors like vultures waiting to pounce. . . exept in a more pleasant way!!!!

We were finally allowed in, "ahhh he is sooooo cute", "I think he looks like brian", "look at all that hair", "look at those eyes, he has such sweet eyes", " mama how you doing?". We got to watch them draw some blood and get him all nice and cozy to go back to mama.

Of course, Grandma Bourne was in hot pursuit on the freeway we often burn between here and Helena. Giddy as ever she couldn't wait to see another one of her cute grandbabies. We have quite the little clan we are building now thanks to James/Amber and now Brian/Raina.

Yesterday we took the kids up to see the baby. Issac is soo exited to know there is another boy he can play with. He told his dad, "I need a baby brother just like Brain and Rainas' baby". The pressure that a comment can lend ehhhh!!! Of course, Abbi and Issac couldn't get enough both wanting to hold baby Brighton constently neither wanting to share with anyone.

Issac had to check out every little inch of the babies body to make sure it was all there. He was especially facinated with the wierd belly button clamp he had on. His little feet, his little toes. . . Issac says he wants a baby just like this when he gets older so he can hold him as long as he wants and even get to carry him around!!

Apicture with Grandma Bourne Bourne and her babies, we are only missing Jaxon but only in picture we were all thinking about how lucky we are to have such cute, healthy babies around us. We wish we could see him more often.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho its off the the DENTIST WE GO

THE DENTIST
Well it was a feared but fun trip. . .. the dentist wasn't as bad a guy as we thought. Avrie loved the dentist she was so exited she couldn't keep the smile off her face. Shaking her head exitedly every question she was asked . . YES!!! She was so exited about all the knick knacks and lights and tools that tickle your teeth she forgot to be scared and plus she got a new BELLE toothbrush. . . I mean come on a new toothbrush how could you not love that!!!

Issac on the other hand the only thing he needed was the dinosaur cartoon in the ceiling and those cool earphones and he was set. He didn't even respond exept the occasional crusty look to the hygienist when she blocked his view. How tragic you prepare for the worst and your kids end up having as much fun as an afternoon at Chucky Cheese!!! Go figure!!
The sad part of the story . . . Papa Bourne, Uncle James cover your ears. . . . Issac has two cavities (du, du , duuuuu).
He is however OK with a return trip. . . how bad could it be right!
We were also so very proud of Dad too he was so brave and sat so still, Avrie told him he was a very good boy and deserved a toothbrush also!!

It's Raining Its Pouring. . . . SHOWER GIFTS FOR RAINA AND BABY BOY!!!

Time is moving quickly and we only have a little over a month before we get to meet our newest little member to the Bourne Family. We are sooo exited. Abbi and I got to go to a baby shower for Raina and Baby Boy (who hasn't been officially named yet)! It was fun times for all, spot lighted by women stating "My Water Broke" when there frozen baby ice cubes finally melted and floated to the top of their drinks. You had to be careful not to use the "B" word, you know that word that could cause you to lose one of your yarn strings. The word Baby is a very hard word to avoid when you are at a Baby Shower, but it was sure fun trying to find other words to take its place. Down to the main event, Raina and Baby were definitely "showered" in lots of cool gifts which will come in very handy when the big day comes. Lots of cute, soft cuddly clothes and blankies to wrap the little guy in . . . . or let daddy use which ever works out best!!!
(Our little PREGO LADY, look how cute she is!! )

This little bear was hand sewn by Rainas' brother in law (I believe his name is Jared). Rainas' sister said he sewed and glued and did everything from scratch, it turned out so cute, that will be a special bear to keep around!!!

This is the cute little outfit Abbi picked out especially for the shower, she was so exited to go, but ended up not feeling very well!!
These little outfits were sent from Mom Bourne from Montana, she was so disappointed she didn't get to be here but looks forward to adoring and holding and "gaga ing " over her new little guy in March or April when he gets here.

Under the Sea. . . A Pirates or Mermaids Adventure!!

Our local library has a story time for kids Monday - Thursday and I have found this is an awesome place to take the kids to learn and spend time with different activities. The theme this month is pirates, fish, under the sea. . . anything in that nature. I was amazed Issac was soo into the stories of pirates and under sea adventures. Even Avrie was in awe with it all and stayed seated on the floor the whole time.
Issac got to be part of the deep see adventure he was the Crab.

Avrie got to be a fish, a beautiful fish with beautiful scales . . . . rainbow scales.

We get to go fishing under the sea, we get the walk the dangerous crocodile catwalk which can be very dangerous if you happen to step on the jaws of a hungry crocodile. Our favorite activity of all was the parachute. . . all the little fishies that get to swim under the sea. The fun of making story time come to life. Next week we get to go swimming at the "pirate" pool. Its pirate day on the 3rd and we are invited to go to pirate cove where there will be all sorts of activities. Thank goodness we have stuff like this to keep us entertained in the long winter.

FUN,FAMILY,and PARTY TIME!!!!!

We've had a fun week this week, we got to go up to Idaho Falls and meet Papa and Nana, and the boys for a fun weekend of swimming, playing a little bit of WII and of course some cards (it wouldn't be a Bourne Blast without um). Issac insisted on playing Star Wars at least a little while he had to show everyone how good he's got. How fun is it to watch your kids and see the extreme joy and satisfaction they get from just seeing the face of their Papa or Nana, or the anticipation they get knowing they get to spend a little pool time with uncles. It's a great feeling knowing that everyone is having fun just being there!! We stayed up till the wee hours of the morning even little miss Avrie stayed up till about 12:00am when she finally fell asleep of sheer exhaustion, Quincy and Zach brought their dogs so she spent alot of the night playing with them. Zach and Quincy also brought their girlfriends so we got to hangout with them to which was fun since we don't get to see them that often. They both enjoyed the attention brought on by new faces and more people to cling on to for the kids. It was a fun quick weekend, we only wish our little vacation could have had James and Amber and Brian and Raina.

Cherish these days, they go to fast!!!!

We took the kids out for breakfast on Saturday morning, as we sat there attempting to keep it all quiet I looked around the reastrant and found we and 1 other couple were the only ones in this section of the building. Maybe because we both had kids, maybe cause everyone else was soundly sleeping like we would like to have been. As I watched the kids play with animals and dress um up bears, I realized, here I sit trying to stop them from being loud crazy kids, and in no time I will be begging them to be my little babies again. I won't always be able to piggy back my son, in a few years he will probably tower over me. I realize that I should take the time to enjoy the silly things they do now because I am sure before I know it I will miss them all terribly. I will miss things like this morning when Avrie wanted to come snuggle in "Moms bed cause she was scared of the monsters in hers". I will miss being the one that gets to kiss them and tuck them in at night. How lucky are we to be parents to such adorable little beings who we get to experience all the funny, and intriguing things of life with.

TO oth good to be true!!!!

Abbi hit yet another monumental moment in her life, she has lost yet another tooth, yup that makes 5 the official count and another loose and ready to fall out. However, we encountered a HUGE problem, Abbi lost her tooth while at school, and lost it in the hallways. Abbi came home from school very distraught that the tooth fairy would not know she had lost another tooth. We considered such solutions such putting a fake in the bag, using one of the other ones that we have kept, writting a note to the tooth fairy. We decided together that if we wrote a note to the tooth fairy and explained the situation she would be understanding enough to still leave abbis reward. Lucky for us that tooth fairy is a very nice, smart, fun, intellegent. . . . ok you get the point, anyway lucky for Abbi the tooth fairy came to visit afterall. Now she has saved up $6 to buy somthing very special that she hasn't yet decided yet. She sounds a little like her mom, she likes to save up and buy big!!!
