EGGIE WAYGIE sat in the fridge,
EGGIE WAYGIE was hard boiled. . . just a tidge.

All the children and parents in tow,
colored and decorated them, wow quite the show!!

At last, at last we were ready to race,
up and down the big hill alas, we did chase.

Issac ran fastest kicking his egg,
Abbi ran carefully, not wanting to hurt her leg.

Avries big concern was eggs cracking apart,
she had to protect them, or it would break her heart.

We rolled and we ran, some of us slow,
Avrie held tight and wouldn't let go.
They bounced and they shattered,
we all got a laugh.

Oh, what a great day we all had on Easters Behaf!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY EASTER!!

HAPPY EASTER.. .. . Everyone!!
Another Easter has come and gone for our family and it truly was a fun day for all. We had a prerun for the egg hunting in Idaho Falls with aunt Victoria and Matthew. She brought a bunch of eggs and little toys that we hide for the children to find. Just a little jump start for the real egg run to come.
The kids woke up as usual around 7am and found that the easter bunny had visited, buuuut we had to wait till 1pm till dad got home from work. As you can imagine this was torture for the kids. We tried to keep busy with card games and coloring books they got as part of the easter basket. We also went to listen to grandma sing in the church choir, a special easter number. We came home and the kids were seriously ready to find their eggs. Uncle Zach and Sara came, and finally after what seemed like FOREVER, dad pulled up the drive. Yehhhh!!
Avrie is soo exited, uncle Zach is here, but we are still waiting for daddy!!!

Don't they look soooo bored, or just tired of waiting for their chance to fun for those easter eggs.

Here we go.... ready set...... find the easter eggs!!!!

Avrie did the pre-scope out, she kept secretly looking for the eggs before we actually started. But, of course when we actually started she followed the other kids to where they were going. We had to coach her to go opposite and look in her own area. We all had fun! All the kids got lots of candy and treats. Hank had fun chasing the eggs as well, he couldn't figure out that there was something inside.

It's always fun to watch the kids look for eggs, they watch what we do and follow our eyes, its like they think we know something. . . .hmmmm. I think next year that easter bunny is going to have to find a new strategy!! It was rather funny the chocolate bunnies were in the sun enough that they actually started melting, we had to put them in the fridge.

Avrie was a little concerned when Uncle Zach told her he ran over the Easter Bunny on his way over. She sat and puzzled just a second and then she said to him, "you're just teasing right???"

Happy Saint Patricks Day Everyone and Happy Birthday to ME

St Patty's Day Activities~

So we started out the day like any other except the children ran into room to not only give me morning hugs but wish me a very happy birthday. Nathaniel had bought St Patty's Day cookie for the kids, to have after breakfast . . . of course. Avrie of course was to focused on the cookies to want to waste her time with breakfast. Issac was focused on NORM he informed me that he was exited to get to school to see if they had caught the Leprecon in their trap. We went with Issac to school to find that NORM the Leprecon was a bad boy, he had ransacked the place, but he did leave gold and coins for the children. We then were priviledged to see the local dance group perform Irish dancing for the children. They all thought it was sooo cool, of course they wanted to be Irish dancers when they growed up. When Abbi and Nathaniel got home from school and work we took the children to Macaroni Grill for a great diner and of course they sarenaded me with the Italian version of Happy Birthday after which we got do eat Chocolate Cake. YUUMMMY!!! We did have picture to illustrate the evening but in a moment of dispair my camera ate them, so the memory lives in our hearts, along with all the other wonderful memories!

A terrific day had by all, thanks to all my family and friends who made this such a perfect day!!

For the Blessing in My Life

MY WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY/LIFE THANKS TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!

I've decided that I am one of the luckiest women in the world. I have 3 beautiful children, an awesome husband who would do anything for me. And I love him for that more and more each day. I have a family who loves me, I have been pleased to have two wonderful parents who would do anything for me and who love to love me and support me in everything I do even If they don't like it. I am so lucky to be so close and be able to spend time with them, get to be with them on a daily basis, and witness what amazing and fun people they are. I am so lucky to be married into an incredible family who are so supportive and so encouraging. They treat me like one of their own, even more. We have so much fun together and love my sisters who are there for me like my own family. I have some of the most awsome, amazing brothers a sister could want. I know they would do anything for me. They are incredible men who are such examples to me, and help me want to be a better person.
I am so lucky to be blessed with friends that I have had what seems like a lifetime. I feel like time can go by and they will always be there, we can be like we haven't lost time. I have made friends I feel will last for a lifetime.

I met new friends all the time who show me what neighbor kindness and love is all about, who show me that that inate human nature to care for everyone is still there.

I feel so blessed to be alive, I feel blessed to be where I am, and to be learning and growing in the way that I have. I will be the better person because of the experiences and people in my life. As I celebrate my birthday this year, I celebrate how lucky I am to be alive and be surronded by the people I am.

A date with the SKI HILL !!!

So we couldn't decide what to do to celebrate Valentines with the kids, as well do something fun. . . then I got the great idea to go skiing. This sounded oh so fun and entertaining because Nathaniel has only skiied once in his life when he was 13 and the kids have never gone skiing. Well we found a great deal at the local ski hill half price rentals and you don't pay for the "bunny hill". We got there and Issac was ready to go he tried to put on his ski in the ski shop. Then we had to walk outside. For someone who has never tried to walk in ski boots it is a very stiff "robotic" feeling sensation (as the kids described it)!
We then began to teach, Abbi listened like a very attentive student and by her third run down was snow plowing and going back and forth across the hill. We were very proud of her.

Issac on the otherhand was true to his name. "Buzzed" up and down that tow as fast as he could. He didn't want to listen for instructions he "already knew" everything.
Good thing he soon met a little friend who clued him into "forming a pizza slice" to aid in the stop. This was very helpful as the poor rope tow guy was probably getting tired of being used as a stopping tool !!!

Next, it was time for Nathaniel to show us his stuff. . . . short story!
See Nathaniel, see Nathaniel start to turn,
See Nathaniels legs getting further apart, See Nathaniel Fall!!
See Nathaniel get up, See Nathaniel put on his skiis.
See Nathaniel ski down the hill, See Nathaniel try to STOP. . .
See Nathaniel Fall !!!!
Abbigayle, since she was becoming such a great skier, especially with her abilities to STOP, decided she would help her dad learn to ski!!!!
"You're doing good, next time try not to fall down, its better if you stop"

Dad and Issac; we had to hurry and get the shot in between him flying down the hill and going up the tow rope with his buddy Joey. They would race eachother down the hill and the advantage went to the one who could grab onto the tow rope first as they glided into the botton of the run!!!

Abbi was a more cautious skier, just like her mom, she didnt' like to fall on her butt :)

OUR ANNUAL HAYRIDE

Every year we do a family hayride get together. We always have loved the get together for it is a good time for the kids to ride the wagon and get their pumpkins and a fun time for all of us parents to reflect on how much our kids have grown since the last year!!!! And like so many other years we usually have a new. . .or we are close to a new baby arrival, which was the case this year. Victoria and Travis were expecting a baby girl due in October.

Issac has found it, his perfect (green) pumpkin. This seemed to be the theme this year everyone was liking the green pumpkins. We figured this might work good seems it was still a month away till Halloween!

BYU Lets hear it for the Cougars!!!

So I think I will be disowned forever for posting this. . . but I wanted to document history even when I hurts my own fathers eyes. . . Yes it is a fact that most don't miss my father does not like BYU but like I say its ok we all don't like everything.

We went back home during the Fall last year to join in the fun of our Family tailgate fun with Nathaniels family and then we went down south to do our annual hayridewith the family. Fun Times had by all!!!
The kids enjoyed tossing the football, especially Issac and Matthew along with their uncles. The girls enjoyed sitting out enjoying the sun and possing to show off their cool face paint!!
